O´Neill delighted with Ireland display

Martin O’Neill was happy with the Republic of Ireland’s performance as they held 2006 FIFA World Cup winners Italy to a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

The former Aston Villa manager saw plenty of promise in the showing at Craven Cottage, which certainly provided more cause for optimism than Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Turkey.
